First Civilization: Living Worlds
A development Fabric modpack combining Live Villages, Distant Starts, First Civilization, Mod Menu, and the required Fabric API. Separate artifacts target Minecraft 26.1.1 and 26.2, with Java 25.
The pack explicitly selects First Civilization's standalone progression mode. Independent material recipes supply the End route; Live Villages 1.1.0 adds optional Tier 3 pearl alchemy and Tier 4 portal industry using Nether village imports. The full settlement campaign remains unavailable; installing Live Villages does not silently switch modes.
Default starts are 200 blocks ±10% (180–220 blocks), with biome selection and a founding Trade Board. World creation offers spacing controls and explains the actual limits. At the low end, 96-block village radii can overlap. Choose 220 ±10% (198–242 blocks) if you want a small buffer between village areas.
Import the matching .mrpack from build/ into a launcher supporting the Modrinth pack format. Create a fresh world for First Civilization's generation rules. Existing worlds preserve their recorded modes and starts.
For Prism, follow the first-launch instructions, including Java 25 selection and account sign-in troubleshooting.
See the player guide and validation status. These are local development packages, not published releases.
Rebuild
Clone the pack and its three source mods into sibling directories using these names, which the builder expects:
git clone https://git.ronhelwig.com/ronhelwig.com/first-civilization-living-worlds.git FirstCivilizationPack
git clone https://git.ronhelwig.com/ronhelwig.com/live-villages.git LiveVillages
git clone https://git.ronhelwig.com/ronhelwig.com/distant-starts.git DistantStarts
git clone https://git.ronhelwig.com/ronhelwig.com/first-civilization.git FirstCivilization
Use the recorded source revisions to reconstruct the current source baseline. With Java 25 selected, build both supported targets in each mod directory with ./gradlew build. Then, from FirstCivilizationPack, run:
python3 tools/build_pack.py
The builder checks each local jar's mod ID, version, and exact Minecraft target. Published Fabric API and Mod Menu versions are pinned by HTTPS URL, file size, SHA-1, and SHA-512 in dependencies.lock.json. Mod Menu is client-only. No Minecraft binaries, player saves, identities, test helpers, EULA acceptance, or server credentials are included.
Artwork, exports, and publication constraints: branding.
This repository tracks pack configuration, dependency pins, build/update tools, documentation, and artwork. Generated archives and local playtest backups stay outside Git. Report pack installation, defaults, and integration problems here; report individual gameplay bugs in the relevant mod's repository.
